Artist Inspiration

Created in November 2023, this piece was born from a desire to explore what’s physically impossible with paint: extreme neon color vibrancy, precision layering, and cosmic symmetry. While Night Always Falls offered the structure in black and gold, Pour Some Funk On Me injected boldness, bringing color theory into rhythm. I hand-selected 10 hues that were evenly spaced on the color wheel, then aligned them with their clockwise and counter-clockwise neighbors to create buttery smooth transitions and minimize chaos. It’s deliberate balance wrapped in overstimulation. This piece is about dancing in the dark. It's about soul-charging joy. It's about being distant yet connected, a constellation of color to keep the funk alive.
